Nothing here measures you or advertises to you until you say yes. The list below is all of them, and it is short. Measuring and advertising are two separate questions, and you can say yes to one and no to the other — Customise on the banner, or Cookie settings at the foot of any page.
Needed for the shop to work
- woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart — what is in your bag. Until you close the browser.
- wp_woocommerce_session_… — ties your browser to its bag, so the bag survives a page change. Two days.
- wordpress_logged_in_… — only if you sign in to an account, and only to keep you signed in.
Remembering what you chose
- pll_language — the language you picked. One year.
- wmc_current_currency, wmc_ip_info — the currency you picked, and a first guess at it from your country. One day.
- coccone_consent — which of the groups below you allowed. Six months.
Where the visit came from
WooCommerce sets seven cookies beginning sbjs_. They record how you arrived — the site you came from, or the campaign link you followed — so that an order can be traced back to it. They hold no name and no address, and they last for the visit. They are only set if you accept them below; refuse, and they are never written at all. You can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
Measuring the site, and advertising
- _ga, _ga_4VJP1CSL64 — Google Analytics. They give your browser a number, so that six pages read one after another count as one visit and not as six strangers. Two years.
- _gcl_… — Google Ads. Written only if you arrive by clicking one of our adverts, so that the advert can be credited with the order. Ninety days.
- _fbp, _fbc — the Meta pixel, for adverts on Facebook and Instagram. The first gives your browser a number; the second is written only if you arrive by clicking one of those adverts. Ninety days.
- _epik, _pin_unauth — the Pinterest tag, for adverts on Pinterest. They give your browser a number, so that a pin you saw can be credited with the order. One year.
- coccone_xid — ours, for the same adverts: a random number for your browser, sent to Pinterest alongside the two above so that a visit and an order can be recognised as the same person’s. It says nothing about you, and it is deleted if you turn advertising off. Six months.
- _hjSessionUser_…, _hjSession_… and the other _hj cookies — Hotjar, which records pages, clicks and scrolling so that we can see where the shop confuses people. What you type into a form is hidden from the recording. A year for the first, half an hour for the second.
None of these is written unless you allow the group it belongs to, and the two groups are answered separately. Refuse the first and Google Analytics still loads, but is told it may store nothing: it counts the page and forgets you, with no cookie and no way to recognise you again. Refuse the second and Meta, Pinterest and Google Ads are not told anything at all — not from your browser, and not from our server after an order either. You can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. Hotjar is the strictest of them: refuse measurement and it is not loaded at all, so there is nothing to record.
From other companies
Four: Google, Meta, Pinterest and Hotjar. Analytics and Ads are Google’s, and the script that runs them is loaded from googletagmanager.com. The Meta pixel is Facebook and Instagram advertising, loaded from connect.facebook.net. The Pinterest tag is advertising on Pinterest, loaded from s.pinimg.com. Those four are the only things on this site fetched from another company’s servers — every font, image and stylesheet here is our own. What each of them receives, and what they may do with it, is set out in how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Meta’s privacy policy and in Pinterest’s privacy policy. Hotjar joins them once you accept measurement: its recorder is loaded from static.hotjar.com, and what it does with a recording is set out in Hotjar’s privacy policy.
Turning them off
Every browser can refuse or delete cookies in its settings. If you refuse them here the shop still reads, but the bag will empty itself between pages and the site will forget your language and currency.
